English Language Instructor (Remote) - MEP
The Collaborative for Educational Services is seeking an English Language Instructor for our Massachusetts Migrant Education Program. The Instructor will be responsible for providing effective teaching and learning to adolescent out of school (OSY) students in remote (virtual) small group and individual settings. This is a part time position where the weekly hours are dependent on the number of students and assignments. This position requires working a flexible schedule which may include evenings to accommodate student/caregiver schedule.

This is You:
You have a working knowledge of assessing student needs, preparation of lesson plans, use of curriculum materials and evaluation instruments, and functions effectively under the guidance of an instructional supervisor
Demonstrated ability in English language acquisition to provide basic skills instruction, working with individual or small groups of students, maintenance of academic records, supplies and materials
You have the ability to adjust instructional strategies and design to best fit the student's unique needs especially in a remote learning environment
One (1) year of experience in an educational program, especially in teaching non-traditional students and/or young adults
Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred

Effectively teach English following the approved curriculum, instruction and assessment practices in a remote setting
Create and maintain a positive learning environment that includes active student participation and attention to each students' learning style
Create, communicate and maintain classroom management practices that effectively support students in the learning process
Participate in self-paced curriculum training (7 hours) and program orientation
